Since 2017: We are a volunteer, community-based response to hunger.

OUR MISSION:

Welcome To The Table Project is dedicated to improving the lives of our community members in the Sto-Rox area by combating food insecurity. We recognize that hunger affects individuals and families from all walks of life, not just those experiencing homelessness. Our commitment is to provide nourishing meals with compassion, preserving the dignity and respect of every person we serve.

OUR IMPACT:

Over 6,000 residents in the Sto-Rox Community and surrounding areas benefit from Welcome to the Table Project’s programs and services each year.

OUR PROGRAMS:

Weekly community dinners are served every Tuesday at the McKees Rocks VFW located at 1242 Chartiers Avenue. Delivery may be available for those who can’t join us in person. Our dinners not only provide nourishment, but also an important means of connection for community members.

Welcome To The Table Project provides nutritious snack bags to local seniors and school children participating in after school activities.

We are a frequent collaborator in community events and activities for outreach and to help residents find additional resources.

OUR NEED:

Donations from community members, local businesses, and churches help make Welcome to the Table Project possible, however, as food and supply costs continue to skyrocket, many of our volunteers donate their own funds to help insure that our programs and services are delivered in a high-quality manner each week. Finding additional funds has become a real challenge.

Please consider making a donation to help support Welcome To The Table Project’s programs and services. Donations will not only allow us to purchase food and supplies, but also to meet increased demand for our services. We can continue to battle food insecurities in our community, but we need your help.
